Elevator prep exploit

The community has discovered that you can place spare tools directly on the elevator floor before departure. The game lets you keep a small pile of duplicates so a teammate can grab one mid-run. Do not abuse this — the system quietly drops the oldest item once the limit is reached, so bring a sensible number.

Grinder math

Not every haul belongs in the Grinder. Furniture that boosts a specific Outpost room should be placed directly. Junk debris should be grinded for gold. Industrial heaters and large appliances are the highest-value early-game grinder input.

Vessel juggling

Your Vessel is fragile. Do not panic when it breaks — the Spark lives on. The strongest players treat vessel juggling as a deliberate mechanic: dropkick an ally’s vessel to dislodge a stuck Spark, or block a corridor with a broken body to bait the Corrupted.

Reading the Rot

When the Rot level rises, geometry distorts, voices become unsettling, and emotes change. Trust your ears over your eyes. If a corridor looks slightly wrong, it is wrong. Turn back.

Anti-grief physics

Dropkicks require sprinting for at least two seconds before pressing melee. Practice the timing — it is easy to miss entirely. Furniture launches are another high-payoff trick: pick up a chair, throw it into a Corrupted, and the impact can finish weak enemies.

Quick checklist before every run

  • Mallet, backup mallet on the elevator.
  • Full inventory, no dead weight.
  • Audio check at every doorway.
  • One designated extractor, one designated scout.
