System-level details

• Controller support — Full controller support including Xbox controllers explicitly listed on the Steam page.
• Steam Cloud — enabled. Outpost progress, inventory, achievements and corruption level sync across machines.
• Save location — %LOCALAPPDATA%\GRAINROT\Saved\SaveGames on Windows.

Platform limits

PC (Windows) via Steam is the only platform at launch. No console versions have been announced. Plan your crew around that if you are playing day one.

Performance tips for co-op

• Effects Quality is the biggest frame-rate cost — lowering it from Medium to Low can recover up to 30% on mid-range GPUs.
• Disable motion blur and camera shake first; raise texture quality only if your frame rate stays stable.
• Native resolution is recommended; the dynamic lighting is part of the horror.

Family Sharing caveats

Family Sharing grants library access but does not share Outpost progress — each Steam account maintains its own save file under %LOCALAPPDATA%\GRAINROT\Saved\SaveGames. Do not expect Family Sharing to act as a shared Outpost.
